Registration FAQ's

How do I register?

Register online or at the event for entry into any Reed Gift Fairs event.

I have a GIC card - will this still work?
As of December 2017, we ceased the GIC cards and moved to an annual registration. You will need to register fresh and only once each year for all four events.

I didn’t get my print at home badge
You can contact our registration provider on 02 9211 7544 to have it re-sent or visit registration onsite to have your badge re-printed.

Can I bring a friend or guest?
In order to deliver a safe event for our customers as of 1 January 2021 guest tickets will not be permitted. This is to control visitor numbers, in adherence to the strict health and safety regulations; as well as ensure our exhibitors are presented with a qualified buyer. Any legitimate staff in your business should be registered through the main registration process and able to prove business ID if requested.

PLANNING FAQ'S

Can I bring my child?

Reed Gift Fairs events are trade only and children are not permitted under the age of 14. Of course, we welcome mothers with children under the age of two, permitted they are in a carrier or stroller for their safety. Head to Customer Service for a security approved pass to access the halls.

Is this show open to the public?
No.

Do you have free parking?
Unfortunately we do not - we are bound by the venues we host our events in. We occasionally secure discounts and will let you know via email and the visiting page when we do.

When will I get my badge?
Your badge is available as soon as you register in your confirmation email and we aim to re-send this to you one week out from each event.

Do you have a shuttle bus? 
With current restrictions for passenger numbers our usual complimentary Shuttle Buses will not be available for transport between ICC Sydney and Homebush.

Where can I stay?
Ozaccom+ is the official travel and accommodation company for all Reed Gift Fairs and guarantee the best rates on your accommodation during your visit.

Is there an official event app?
No need. Our brand new website fully supports a mobile experience making it easier for you to plan your visit all in the one place! 

How can I keep a record of who I meet?
"Ask To Be Scanned" - our exhibitors are using a Reed Gift Fairs exclsuively developed app that will scan your badge and email a list of all contacts you personally met in the Reed Gift Fairs halls.

AT THE EVENT FAQ'S

Where can I find the VIP or Platinum lounges?

Our complementary lounges are only available for qualified VIP and Platinum members and will usually be found at the front of the halls, in the specialty suites at both MCEC and ICC Sydney (upstairs).

Is there more than one venue?
Both Reed Gift Fairs events are located in the one venue. Melbourne events will be at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Sydney events will be at the ICC Sydney.

Is there more than one level?
Reed Gift Fairs Sydney February in the ICC will be across both Level 1 and Level 4. The remaining events for the year are all on one level.

I need a wheelchair where can I get one?

Visit our Customer Service desk onsite to arrange a wheelchair through our venues.

Is photography permitted at the event?
To protect the privacy and confidentiality of exhibitors and their products, no video or still photography from digital cameras or mobile phones is permitted without prior approval from the exhibitor.

Are cash/credit sales permitted? 
No they are not permitted. To help us reduce congestion in thoroughfares and the elimination of cash and product handling we also advise that personal shopping and cash/credit sales will not be permitted at any time during the show.

Plain clothes security guards are on patrol at all times.

Can I store my items in the cloakroom?
Items larger than a standard size briefcase are not allowed into the fair, however we do provide a complimentary cloakroom for secure storage of such items. All cloakrooms will close promptly at 6pm (3pm on the final day). Whilst all care is taken for your property, we do not accept responsibility for items left after this time.

Can I have a book? Where are the books?

To receive a copy of our digital event guide - ensure you are signed up to our mailing list. You'll be emailed a copy of the digital edition prior to the event.

Where can I find 'this' exhibitor?
Refer to our online exhibitor directory by typing in their name to find their stand location; or if onsite refer to the floorplan by the entry doors.

Occassionally, we are located near other trade events, here is who you need to know:

  • Reed Gift Fairs Sydney is co-located with Life Instyle, entry from Level 4
  • Reed Gift Fairs Melbourne is all under the on roof at the MCEC Melbourne Halls 1 to 8

Admission

Reed Gift Fairs are trade only events for registered buyers in the gift and homewares industry. GIC cards have now expired and are no longer able to be used. Registration is annually and badges will be emailed two weeks prior to the event.

All individuals must provide their business ABN for entry into the event and are required to provide additional proof of business information if requested. Any non-retail trade registrations will be removed at our discretion in order to maintain a quality business environment.

Bags & Trolleys

It is our policy that all oversized suitcase and trolleys are not permitted onto the show floor. Free cloakroom facilities are available to store any bags beyond the size of a carry on item. 

We will be policing this closely in order to improve the quality of the buying environment we provide. 

Our updated policy now bans ALL trolleys and suitcases over all days of the Fair irrespective of size.

We have expanded the size of the cloakroom to offer a better service onsite and create a safer exhibition floor.

Personal shopping

There is no personal shopping allowed at Reed Gift Fairs. We are a strictly a trade event only and our updated bags & luggage policy goes toward making sure the fairs remain a professional environment. 

Exhibitors are reminded that cash sales for legitimate retail purchases are only to be conducted on the last hour of the final day.

Please note no stock can be removed from the fair until 2pm on the final day – this is to maintain the trade environment and avoid potential theft.

Buyer Guests

Registered buyers are welcome to bring one non-industry guest each day, excluding the final day. Buyers Guest tickets can be purchased at $50 per day from Customer Service. All legitimate trade are recommended to register to avoid unnecessary  costs.

Child Policy

Reed Gift Fairs is a business event and children under the age of 14 are discouraged from attending the fair. Babies and toddlers (aged 0 -2) are welcome if they are in a pram and approved from Customer Service with a security clearance sticker.

Retail Therapy

We like to enhance your visit to our events with the opportunity to join our education seminars at Retail Therapy. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at Customer Service during the fair. If you have any content you want to see more of - let us know.

VIP Buyers

To become a member of our VIP program you must be exhibitor nominated or in our historical database. We regularly audit VIP membership based on event attendance - status is revoked if you fail to attend minimum two events per year.

Platinum Buyers

Reed Gift Fairs welcomes Platinum Buyers through our program that offers perks to the key industry players. Membership is self-nominated and curated by the event team. Criteria is based on spend at event, minimum two events attended per year (status revoked to VIP if not actively attending) and audited annually to maintain a premium selection of buyers.

Registration

Onsite and online registration will close at 12noon on the final day of the fair.
