AFRCANSQUARE CO LTD is a wholesale company of Japan specialized in handmade fashion and home décor products from Africa. We have dedicated ourselves to doing business with African countries since 1990. Our local suppliers and we have worked together to create something with value for almost 30 years. We have been introducing their traditional skills of handicrafts to the outside world. At the same time, we have been adding new ideas and designs to them to provide unique essences to people's life in Japan. A wide range of African products is in stock in our warehouse, including baskets, bags, jewelry, textiles, antiques, art, food, and many more. Our collection consists of fairly traded items from every region of Africa. Most of our products are handmade from natural or recycled materials. They are produced using traditional techniques and methods passed down from generation to generation. From our collection, we have brought baskets and bags to Melbourne. They are ethical, functional, and stylish. Among them, Kenyan sisal basket bags have been our bestsellers for years. They are made of sisal which is a species of cactus and grows everywhere in Kamba region of Kenya. The baskets are finely hand-woven by the ladies in small villages. Although it takes about a week to finish one basket, it remains a significant source of income for the families in the rural area of Kenya. The weaving skill is indigenous to the Kamba ladies of Kenya. It has been inherited from mothers to their daughters for centuries. The baskets are functional and durable. We have also brought the items from other countries such as Madagascar, Burkina Faso, and Morocco. Enjoy touches of African handicrafts which you cannot find often!
