Qasturi (Malay word for "musk") is the fulfilment of Roslan Ibrahim's life-long passion for scented candles. Roslan grew up in a Malay family in Singapore and moved to Australia in 2010 where he subsequently developed his passion into this exciting business, which was launched at the end of January 2018 and based in Sydney.
Qasturi luxury scented candles and reed diffusers are handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail using the highest quality ingredients - 100% natural soy wax, lead-free cotton wicks, premium fragrance oil and reed diffuser oil base. Qasturi has a unique range of fragrances inspired by a variety of exotic locations designed to create an atmosphere of comfort and tranquillity.
Having had personal experience of the importance of a good education in empowering people to lift themselves out of poverty, Roslan is particularly moved by the plight of children living in poverty in Cambodia and therefore Qasturi also became a candle business that gives back, donating 10% of all profits to the Cambodian Children’s Trust Australia, a community-development organisation which promotes family-based care and support services for vulnerable children. These donations will enable Cambodian families to stay together when poverty threatens to tear them apart and will prevent children from being subjected to trafficking or child labour or ending up in orphanages. Proceeds will also enable these children to receive an education and grow up in safe, resilient communities.
