22folds is the creation of paper Installation artist Melanie Gray. Melanie and her team create gifts using origami cranes housed in shadow box frames, glass bubbles and cards. They are sold with the traditional symbolism of the crane as outlined below. Their intention is to be gifted to empower, acknowledge and ignite something within the recipient, proving to be a very popular and meaningful gift. The crane is a symbol of for some of the deepest human desires. Hope, Peace, Love and Loyalty. It stood throughout history as an emblem of hope against the odds. In Japanese tradition whoever folds one thousand cranes will receive their hearts desire. That's why the folded crane has come to be recognised as a deeply personal gift, bearing the possibility of a miracle. The hope for you is that these small cranes carry your wishes far enough to be heard and that you find yourself in the rhythm of their flight. 22folds is based in Fremantle, Western Australia.
