How to think outside of the Retail box
Presented by Monica Schlesinger –
FAICD, Advisory Boards Group

Monica understands the trends in the retail sector and brings her experience from scaled down methods used by larger corporations and larger SMEs, to keep charging ahead and winning in the current climate. She will give concrete examples of how you can turn your company around, how you can diversify in related markets and create partnerships. The Internet and online sales are here to stay, survival is a question of how you can adapt to the technological whirlwind. Building a website that may be on the 100th page of a web search engine is not the answer. Re-arranging the windows may help for the customers who pass by your shop but won’t beat the online prices and free shipping. The solution may be in your own skills, in partnerships, in other services you can add-on or linking into an international presence. You must ask yourself where you are going to be in 3 years time and what you need to do to stay ‘business-healthy’.
