Retail in Recovery
Just in time for Christmas, research and spending habits suggest that the retail industry is on its way to recovery. Economist Craig James said the data suggested consumers were becoming more confident as retail spending posted its biggest monthly growth in more than two years, suggesting the sector is starting to recover from its doldrums. Although cautious consumer attitude has not yet dissipated this is positive and encouraging news for Australian businesses as we head into what many hope is a busy Christmas season.
